January began with a blue moon on New Year’s Eve in Edinburgh. Walking beneath clear blue skies in sub-zero temperatures was good for our health and in this picture we are on the hill just behind our house.

February  St Valentine’s Day saw us in the Bath Chapel at Westminster Abbey  for the Baptism of Murdoch’s neice’s delightful  little boy,Rory

March on the Road to the Isles enjoying the glories of the snowy mountains and the frozen and frosted lochs taking the artwork  of Catriona and Mairead Macdonald to the new  Archive Centre in Portree.

April holiday self-catering in Islay and this visit to Jura where we enjoyed walking in this lovely village, Craighouse, and Jura House  Gardens.

August We were in Bossey for the wedding of friends Betty and Philippe before travelling by bus through the Mont Blanc tunnel where our friends of 50 years, Maria Teresa and Riccardo met us and drove us to their home in Vesime.
