Dear Friends
Like September 11th, November 11th comes round inexorably each year reminding us of the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month. For billions of people all over the world the 11th hour is never far away and the spectre of death seems always to be just around the corner in a world in which there is enough for everyone's need but not for everyone's greed. If the United Nations or the British Government or even the United States really wished to take a pre-emptive strike against those things which cause mass destruction then a serious meditation on the actual facts of our world as outlined below could be a transforming experience.
Terrorism in perspective
Over the last six years, approximately 25,000 people have died from acts of terrorism, world-wide. Over that same period, 52 million people have died from preventable hunger; about 24,000 per day.
