Ruth Dale, Murdoch’s eldest child, writes:

“On July the 23rd, we had a short service and time of worship at the New Kilpatrick cemetery, Glasgow, for the interment of my dear father's ashes; it was the next step on our emotional journey remembering dear Dad together. There were 14 of us gathered around the family's ancestral grave, 10 family members and 4 life-long dear friends of Mum and Dad, including the minister who conducted the ceremony with whom Dad had shared a room when they were studying Divinity at New College, the University of Edinburgh in the early 1960s. The family ancestral grave photo was taken that day, Thursday 23.07.15. The beautiful flowers by the grave were all from my sister Catriona's garden.”
